Wilmington plays in the Ohio Athletic Conference (www.oac.org) which is comprised of ten teams, all located in Ohio. The OAC is the third oldest conference in college athletics. Conference play can begin in late November or early December with games usually played on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Wilmington will play each team twice, home and away. The farthest conference game is at Baldwin-Wallace, some 200 miles from campus. The season concludes with the OAC tourney which takes the top eight teams with the winner receiving an automatic NCAA berth.

The Lady Quakers employ an up-tempo style transition offense. In 2005-06, Wilmington was ranked #9 in offense, averaging 77.1 ppg. In 2006-07, they were ranked #15 at 74.2. Rebounding is a strong trademark and defensively they deploy a ball-containing half court man-to-man defense.
