Founded in 1950, Oklahoma Christian is private comprehensive/liberal arts institution offering nearly 50 Bachelor degree programs through five colleges: Business, Biblical Studies, Education, Liberal Arts, and Science and Engineering. Head coach Stephanie Findley completed her 24th season at Oklahoma Christian in 2007-08. Findley inherited a program that had already received national recognition as a perrenial contender. Noted for her up tempo, pressure defensive style of play, Findley took over in 1985-86 after serving as an assistant for three seasons. Since 1990, Findley has produced thirteen 20+ winning seasons. Findley is a former Findley Hall of Fame player. In 2007-08, the Lady Eagles turned in a 17-14 record but did not receive an NAIA tourney bid, breaking a string of eighth consecutive NAIA tournament appearances.

Oklahoma Christian plays in the Sooner Athletic Conference (www.soonerathletic.org) which is recognized as one of the strongest NAIA conferences in the nation. The SAC is comprised of twelve schools in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. League plays starts in early January with games usually on Thursday and Saturdays. OC will play each team twice, home and away for a total of 22 games. The farthest conference game is at Lubbock Christian, about 300 miles from Oklahoma City. The season concludes with the SAC tourney which takes the top eight teams in order of final conference standings. The winner is an automatic NAIA tournament qualifier.
