Founded in 1866, Hope College is a traditional liberal arts institution offering more than 40 Bachelor degree programs. Head coach Brian Morehouse completed his 12th season at Hope in 2007-08. Morehouse, a Hope College graduate, has continued the winning tradition at Hope by posting a 288-56 record over the last 12 years. Over his tenure, Morehouse has averaged 24 wins per season, won 20-or-more games ten consecutive times and made seven NCAA appearances. Among active D3 coaches, his winning percentage ranks among the top 10. Morehouse coached Hope's JV team for two seasons before being handed the varsity reins in 1996-97. Morehouse garnered a 30-1 record in 2007-08 but fell in the Final 4 of the NCAA tourney to Howard Payne.

Hope plays in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (www.miaa.org) which is comprised of nine teams located in the states of Michigan and Indiana. The conference is the oldest college athletic conference in America. League play begins in December with games usually played on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Hope will play each team twice, home and away. All teams play in a single elimination post-season tourney with the winner receiving an automatic NCAA bid.
