Faulkner plays in the 11 member Southern States Athletic Conference (www.ssacsports.com) comprised of 12 teams. Conference play can start in December. Twenty league games are usually played on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. There is usually a two week break at Xmas. The Eagles play each team twice, home and away. The farthest conference away game is at Southern Wesleyan (Central, SC) some 250 miles from campus. The GACC earns two bids to the NAIA tournament. Both the regular season and tournament champion earn bids. If the same team wins both, the tournament runner-up advances.
