Head coach David Skolen completed his 15th season at Daeman in 2007-08. Skolen, a former player and Daemen alumni (and holder of 12 school records), served as Daemen's assistant coach for two seasons before taking over head duties in 1992-93. Inheriting a program that had had only one winning season in the previous five, Skolen's teams have averaged over 20 wins per season over the last 12 years. The Lady Warriors have also made seven national NAIA tournament appearances during that timeframe. In 2007-08, Skolen took his team to a 22-8 record and went 13-1 in league play for the second consecutive year. Daeman was eliminated in the first round of the NAIA tourney by Mid American Nazarene but did rank among the top 25 nationally ranked teams.

Daemen joined the top ranked American Mideast Conference (www.amc.org) in 2001-02. The conference has recently expanded and is now comprised of schools outside of Ohio. There are now 16 teams in two divisions: North and South. Daemen plays in the North. Daeman traditionally plays a tough pre-season which will include NCAA D2 opponents. Conference play begins in late November or early December but non-league opponents are scheduled in until January. Conference games (14) are often played on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Daeman will play each team twice in its own division only, home and away. The season concludes with the AMC tourney with the top AMC South team playing the top AMC North team to determine the overall AMC champion. Both of those teams get automatic berths in the NAIA II Tournament. The next four teams in each division square off with the tourney winner getting the third and final automatic berth in the NAIA II Tournament.
