Robert Bo Browder completed his 10th year as head coach at Xavier in 2007-08. Browder inherited a team that had already placed itself among the NAIA I elite programs. During the 1990's, Xavier posted eight 20+ winning seasons while averaging nearly 23 wins per year. In his ten years, Browder has nine 20+ winning seasons and won the conference championship and advanced to the NAIA National tourney eight times. Browder, who joined Xavier in 1998-99, had successful coaching stints at all levels: high school, junior college, NAIA, and NCAA Division I. Immediately prior to coming to Xavier, Browder was selected as the Golden Valley Conference COTY at Lassen Junior College in California. Following that achievement, Browder served as interim head coach at Evansville (D1). (Note: In 2005-06, the Gold Nuggets did not compete due to Hurricane Katrina.) In 2007-08, the Nuggets went 27-7 but lost in the first round of the NAIA tourney to Lambuth.
