St. Xavier plays in the Chicagoland Conference (www.ccacon.com). It is generally regarded among one of the nation's strongest NAIA conferences. The CCAC is comprised of 13 NAIA Division I and II schools; seven schools, however, comprise the NAIA Division I conference. The are located in Indiana and Illinois. The league schedule commences in January with games more often than not played on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. The Cougars will play each team twice, home and away. The season concludes with the CCAC tourney which includes all teams, with the conference champion having home court advantage throughout and receives a first round bye. If the top seed is defeated before the championship game, the highest remaining seed hosts the final game.
