Head coach Bo Ryan completed his 7th season at Wisconsin in 2007-08. Ryan's .775 career winning percentage ranks him third among D1 coaches with 5 or more years head coaching experience. In seven seasons at Wisconsin he has led the Badgers to 173 wins against just 58 losses. Ryan came to Madison from UW-Milwaukee where he spent two seasons coaching the Panthers to their first back-to-back winning seasons in eight years. It was during his 15 year tenure at UW-Platteville (D3), however, that Ryan established himself as one of the country's top coaches. He guided Platteville to a 353-76 (.822) record picking up four national championships and averaging 23 wins in a season. Ryan's first coaching job was at Philadelphia's Sun Valley High School. In 2007-08, the Badgers went 31-5 and advanced to the Sweet 16 before falling to Davidson.
