Head coach Jose Rebimbas completed his 13th season at William Paterson in 2007-08. Inheriting a program that had seven losing seasons out of the previous eight, Rebimbas has produced 11 consecutive winning seasons since going 12-12 his first year (1995-96). In his short tenure, Rebimbas has captured four conference titles and made six NCAA appearances, including two Final Fours. In 2001, he took the Pioneers to their best season ever, going 26-5. Under Rebimbas, defense reigns supreme as attested by William Paterson's frequent ranking among the top leaders in scoring defense. Rebimbas came to WPU in 1995-96 after serving one year as head coach at Montclair State (D3). In 2007-08, the Pioneers went 17-8 but did not receive an NCAA bid.
