Westminster College was founded in 1875. This small liberal arts college offers 25 undergraduate majors including Computer Science, Communications, Environmental Studies, and International Business. A four-year Aviation program offers a choice of majors in aviation management and flight operations. US News 2008 Report on America's Best Colleges ranked Westminster #23 among schools in the west offering a Master's degree. The campus is located in Salt Lake City (pop.1.2M). Head coach Tommy Connor completed his 9th season at Westminster in 2007-08. Connor re-instated a dormant program in 1999-00 and though he had a losing record his inaugural season, he has since produced eight winning seasons (seven 20+ seasons) averaging 21 wins per year, garnering six conference titles, and making seven NAIA tournament appearances. A star athlete at Borah HS, Connor played for Utah under Rick Majerus and later became his assistant coach. In 2007-08, Connor went 20-7 but did not receive a NAIA tourney bid.

Westminster is a member of the Frontier Conference which is comprised of eight teams from Montana, Idaho, and Utah. It is considered one the stronger NAIA conferences. Beginning in January, Westminster will play a 14 game schedule, playing each team twice, home and away. Games are often played on Thursdays and Saturdays. The season concludes with the Frontier tourney which (explain seeding) . . .
