Head coach Glen Miller enters his second season at Penn in 2007-08. Miller, who spent seven years as head coach at Brown University, replaced Fran Dunphy. Prior to Brown, Miller coached at Connecticut College. Miller has his work cut out for him. Under Dunphy, the Quakers dominated the Ivy League, winning 10 of the last 14 Ivy League championships and over the last eight years, Dunphy averaged 19 wins and made six NCAA appearances. At Brown, Miller won more games in his first seven years than any coach in school history and Brown's nine game winning streak in 2002-2003 was their longest since 1938-39. In 2006-07, Miller proved he was the right person for the job, leading the Quakers to a 22-9 record and first round NCAA appearance, losing to Texas A&M. They also won their league with a 13-1 mark.

Pennsylvania plays in the Ivy League (www.ivyleaguesports.com) which is comprised of eight prestigious private universities. Though the Ivy League is not considered a premier D1 conference say, like the Big 10, it is nevertheless very competitive. As these schools stress academics above sports, the term student-athlete rings true. Penn will play a 14 game league schedule starting in January with games usually played on Friday and Saturdays. The season concludes with the Ivy League tournament which includes all teams with the eventual winner receiving an automatic NCAA bid.
Princeton, Columbia, Harvard, Dartmouth, Yale, Brown, and Cornell.
