Head coach Kristy Trn enters her 9th season at Shippensburg in 2007-08. Though not considered a formidable power until recently, the Lady Raiders have really come onto the scene since the mid-90's. Much of that success is credited to Trn who became a volunteer assistant coach in 1993-94 and became a full time assistant the following year. She took over head duties in 1999-00. In her capacity as an assistant and head coach, Trn has helped oversee eight 20+ winning seasons, three regional titles, six conference titles, and eight NCAA appearances. In Trn's first season at the helm, she took the Lady Raiders to a 24-6 record and won the conference championship. Trn was an All-American honorable mention in 1993 for Shippensburg and one of the program's most prolific scorers (1,765), the fourth highest total in school history. In 2006-07, Trn turned in a 17-11 record but did not receive an NCAA bid.

It is comprised of 15 schools, all but one in Pennsylvania. League play commences in December. The season concludes with the PSAC tournament which takes the top four teams from each division with crossover play starting in the semi-finals.
