Entering her 18th season in 2007-08 is head coach Bridget Benshetler. Though Bridget had to endure losing seasons at the beginning of her tenure, the Sea Gulls have averaged 18 wins per year over the last eight years while also making three trips to the NCAA tourney and winning three conference titles. Prior to taking the reins in 1990-91, Benshelter was head coach at Pennsylvania State University in Delaware County. A four year standout at Hofstra, Benshelter is Salisbury's winningest coach and also serves as the director of the popular Nike girls basketball camp held every year. The Sea Gulls have struggled the last four years and in 2006-07 they improved slightly to 15-11, one more win than last year.
