Head coach Meghan Burke Brown enters her first season in 2007-08 and first as a head coach. Brown replaces Joe Frager who led the Owls to the national championship in 2007. Brown has big shoes to fill considering Frager's success, especially in the last three years, winning 25, 29 and 34 games respectively. Most recently, Brown spent two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Yale University. Prior to Yale, she was an assistant coach at Miami, Eastern Kentucky and Kentucky. Burke Brown had a stellar four-year playing career at St. John’s University, where she served as team captain of the Red Storm as a senior. In 2006-07, the Owls went 34-2 and won the NCAA II National Championship by beating Florida Gulf Coast.
