Point Loma plays in the Golden State Athletic Conference (www.gsacsports.org) which is comprised of 11 church-related institutions, all in Southern California. League play can start in late November or early December though non-league games are mixed in until January. More often than not, the 20 conference games are played on Tuesday and Saturday evenings and are piggybacked with the men. Point Loma plays each team twice, home and away. The farthest away game is at Westmont (Santa Barbara) some 175 miles from campus. The conference winner gets an automatic NAIA bid as does the winner of the eight-team GSAC tourney.
