Head coach Kelly Warnke completed her first season at Pacific Lutheran in 2007-08 and first as a head coach. Warnke takes over from Gil Rigell who in the previous 10 years produced a .742 winning percentage, captured five conference titles, and made six trips to the NCAA tourney. Warnke most recently served as an assistant coach at Baldwin-Wallace College - a program also profiled at CBSAguide. Warnke played on Wisconsin-Oshkosh's undefeated 1996 NCAA Division III national championship team and helped the Titans reach four straight NCAA tournaments. In her inaugural season, Warnke went 14-11.

Pacific Lutheran plays in the Northwest Conference (www.nwcsports.com) which is comprised of nine schools from Washington and Oregon. (The conference is made up of teams mostly affiliated with the NAIA's now defunct Evergreen Conference.) PLU plays each team twice, home and away. Conference play usually starts in January with games often played on Fridays and Saturdays. The farthest conference away game is at Whitworth some 290 miles from campus. Presenly, the Northwest Conference does not have a post season tourney, however, plans are underway to bring it back.
Pacific, Willamette, Lewis and Clark, Puget Sound, George Fox, Linfield, Whitworth, and Whitman.
