Head coach George Wilson completed his 11th season at College of the Ozarks in 2007-08. A perennial contender for post season play, Wilson has taken the Lady Cats to nine out of the last eleven conference championships since taking the reins in 1997-98 and eight NAIA appearances. Wilson inherited a program that had already been on the rise, averaging nearly 20 wins per season over the previous six years. Wilson coached high school boy's basketball for 31 years before entering the collegiate ranks, posting a 559-284 record on the prep scene. Coming off a 34-3 record in 2006-07 and losing in the NAIA II championship game to Indiana Wesleyan, the Bobcats bounced back in 2007-08, going 31-1 and beating Northwestern for the NAIA II championship.
