Mississippi College plays in the American Southwest Conference (www.americansouthwestconf.org) which is comprised of 15 schools from Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. The ASC is split into two divisons. Mississipi plays in the Eastern division. The Choctaws will play a 22 game league schedule, playing each team in the East twice and each school from the West once. League play can start in late November or early December though non-league opponents are scheduled in until January. Conference games are often piggyback with the women's and played on Thursdays and Saturdays. The season concludes with the ASC tourney which takes the top four teams from each division. Initial bracketing pitts east v. west. The eventual winner receives an automatic NCAA bid.
