Conference and Schedule

Tech plays in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (www.gliac.org), the premier D2 conference in the midwest. The GLIAC is comprised of 13 schools from Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The conference is divided into two divisions, north and south. Tech plays in the North. Tech will play each team in the north division twice, and once in the south. Conference play can start in early December but the schedule includes non-conference opponents until January. Conference games include one or two weekday games plus a Saturday game that is often piggybacked with the men's. The farthest conference away game is at Gannon (Erie, PA) some 800 miles from campus. The season concludes with the GLIAC conference which takes the top four teams from each division with crossover play beginning with the semi-finals. The winner receives an automatic NCAA berth.
