Founded in 1909 by the Brethren in Christ Church, Messiah College is a liberal arts college offering over 50 majors in five schools. Head coach Mike Miller completed his 22nd season at Messiah in 2007-08. In the past 13 seasons, Miller has led the Falcons to seven conference titles and nine consecutive NCAA appearances. Over the last eight years, he has produced a .891 winning percentage while averaging nearly 27 wins per season. No wonder Messiah is among the top ten D3 programs in the country. In 2007-08, the Falcons went 30-2 and advanced to the NCAA D3 title game before losing to Howard Payne.

Conference and Schedule

Messiah plays in the Mid Atlantic Conference (www.lvc.edu/mac), Commonwealth Division, which is comprised of eight teams all from Pennsylvania. The MAC is considered one of the stronger D3 conferences. League play can commence in early December with a few games played before a two week winter break. Conference play resumes in January with most games played on Tuesday/Wednesdays and Saturdays. Messiah will play each team twice, home and away, and games are usually piggybacked with the men's. The season concludes with a tourney within each division, with the top four teams in each qualifying. Each winner receives an automatic NCAA berth.
