Head coach Teri Johnson enters her first season in 2007-08. Teri replaces April Arvan, Lakeland's most successful coach, who captured eight Lake Michigan Conference (LMC) titles, made five NCAA appearances, and averaged 20 wins per season during her 13 year tenure. Johnson comes from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Ill., where she was head coach for the past two seasons. Prior to that, she was an assistant coach at Augustana College. Johnson was a Lakeland basketball standout during her career from 1996-2000, and she still ranks sixth in the record books for career assists with 282. She was a four-year starter and a member of Lakeland's first-ever NCAA Tournament qualifier in 1998-99. In 2006-07, the Muskies finished with a 15-11 overall.
