Conference play can start in early December and then resume in January after a two week winter break. More often than not, the 16 league games are played on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Currently, Lake Forest plays all but two teams twice, home and away. The season concludes with the top four teams competing in the Midwest Conference tourney with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA tourney.
