Head coach John Brady enters his 11th season at LSU in 2007-08. Prior to his arrival in 1997-98, Brady coached at Samford for six seasons - bringing that program back to respectability. Brady inherited an LSU team that had been placed on probation and consequently he struggled at first, producing losing seasons in three of his first four years. Since 2001-02, however, Brady has posted a 122-70 record, averaged 20 wins per season, placed first or second in conference play four times, and made three NCAA appearances. Brady played college ball at Belhaven College and got his coaching start at Mississippi State. In 2005-06, Brady produced the second best record of his career, going 27-9 and advanced to the NCAA Final 4 before falling to UCLA. However, things nosedived in 2006-07 as the Tigers went 17-15.
