Georgetown plays in the MidSouth Conference (www.mid-southconference.org) which is comprised of seven schools from Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia. Prior to the conference's realignment, the MidSouth was one of the most competitive NAIA conferences. Now, with just a 12 game league schedule, Georgetown plays a very long pre-season that extends late into January. League games are more often than not played on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. The farthest conference away game is at Lambuth (Jackson, TN) some 360 miles from campus. The season concludes with the Mid-South conference which includes all teams with the winner advancing to the NAIA national tourney.
