Brandon Schneider completed his 10th season at Emporia State in 2007-08. Since being named head coach in 1998-99, Schneider's teams have captured five league titles and made eight trips to the NCAA, three of which were Elite 8. Over the last eight seasons, Schneider has averaged nearly 25 wins per season. Schneider was an assistant coach at Emporia for four seasons prior to being handed the head reins. During that time, Schneider served as recruiting coordinator and attracted six JC All-Americans and four high school All Americans. Schneider, whose teams typically run a high-octane offense, was a four year letterman in men's basketball at Wayland Baptist and was the school's first ever Academic All American. Coming off a 22-8 record in 2006-07, the Lady Hornets went 23-8 in 2007-08 and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tourney before falling to Washburn.
