Concordia plays in one of the prominent NAIA conferences, the Great Plains Athletic Conference (www.gpacsports.com). It is comprised of 13 teams in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. The conference is generally regarded among the top three NAIA II conferences in the nation. Conference play commences in December but there is a two-week break before league play picks back up in January. The 18 league games are often played on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoon and are piggybacked with the men's. The season concludes with the GPAC tournament which takes the top eight teams with the eventual tournament winner receiving an automatic NCAA bid.
