Head coach Greg Mason enters his 9th season at Centre College in 2007-08. Mason, a 1994 Centre graduate, inherited a uninspired program that had had losing seasons in four of the previous five years before he took over in 1999-00. He has since helped the Colonels break numerous school and conference records and bring the program back to success - not seen since the 1980s. An all-conference guard selection, Mason assisted at Kentucky Wesleyan before returning to Centre as an assistant coach for three seasons. In 2006-07, Mason turned in his finest season yet, leading the Colonels to a 24-5 mark and second round appearance in the NCAA tourney - losing to Wooster. It was the programs first NCAA appearance since 1992.
