Head coach Angie Morton enters her 5th season at Catawba in 2007-08. Morton, a 1984 Catawba graduate, returned to her Alma Mater in 2003-04 after heading up the program at Pfeiffer University. In her seven seasons at Pfeiffer, Morton produced a 108-90 record. However, in her final three years, she went 61-17 and captured two conferenence COTY honors. Prior to her time at Pfeiffer, Morton was the coach at West Stanley High School for eight years where she guided the girl's team to playoff appearances every year. Morton succeeded John Duncan who compiled a .750 winning percentage and won no less than 19 games each year during his seven year stint. In her inaugural season at Catawba, Morton delivered a 22-9 record, won both the regular season championship and conference tourney, and made an NCAA appearance. Coming off a disappointing 9-19 mark in 2006, Morton redeemed herself in 2007, going 20-9 but did not receive an NCAA bid.
