Misc. Information

Head coach Tim La Kose enters his 7th season at Cal State Bakersfield in 2007-08. Though the program has only been in existence since 2000-01, CBSAguide has chosen to profile LaKose's program based on his recent record and past success at Cal Lutheran where he logged seven consecutive winning seasons after his initial 1993-94 campaign winning five conference championships while compiling a .670 winning percentage. At Bakersfield, LaKose inherited a program that had posted only five winning seasons in 23 years. In his inaugural season he went 23-6 and has since rolled off five additional 20+ winning seasons taking the Roadrunners to the NCAA tourney five times. During this time, La Kose has compiled at 142-33 record. A 1991 graduate of Cal State Northridge, LaKose earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training. LaKose's teams usually depend on a high-octane offense. In 2006-07, the Roadrunners went 23-6 but did not receive an NCAA bid.
