Willi has directed the Eagles to nine 20+ winning seasons since taking over the team in 1996-97 after spending 11 seasons as a Bridgewater assistant. In her first season Willi promptly won conference COTY honors after a 22-6 record and took the Eagles to their first NCAA appearance. During her tenure, Willi's teams have averaged nearly 20 wins per season. Willi, a 1980 graduate of Bridgewater, was an All State selection and still ranks among Bridgewater's top 10 rebounders. In 2007-08, the Eagles finished with a 15-14 mark and a first round NCAA tourney appearance, losing to New Jersey.

Conference and Schedule

The Eagles play in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (www.odaconline.com), the second largest D3 conference in the nation, and generally regarded as one of the toughest. The ODAC is comprised of 14 members. Due to its large size, the pre-season is relatively short with conference play usually beginning in early December though non-league opponents are scheduled up until January. Bridgewater will play most teams twice, home and away. The season concludes with the ODAC tourney which includes the top eight teams. There are no byes and games are played at neutral sites. The winner receives an automatic NCAA berth.

Hollins, Lynchburg, Randolph-Macon, Guilford, Roanoke, Washington and Lee, Eastern Mennonite, Hampton-Sydney, Roanoke, Sweet Briar, Virginia Wesleyan, and Emory and Henry.
