Founded in 1966, Bellvue University is a medium size institution offering 45 undergraduate and six graduate majors. Among the diverse majors offered: Art Management, Computer Graphic Design, Environmental Services, Security Management, and Health Care Management. Nearly two-thirds, however, choose a Business majors. US News 2008 Report on America's Best Colleges did not rank Bellevue. Previously, they were in the fourth tier. Head coach Todd Eisner completed his eighth year at Bellevue in 2007-08. Eisner took over the program in 2000-01 and has since produced eight consecutive 20+ winning seasons, averaged 28 wins per year, captured seven conference championships, and made seven NAIA II tournament appearances! His 2004 squad went 33-6 and was NAIA II national runner-up. Prior coming to Bellevue, Eisner coached at Viterbo for five seasons and assisted at Eastern Illinois and Creighton. In 2007-08, Eisner led the Bruins to a 33-4 mark and beat Oregon Tech for the NAIA II National Championship.

Bellevue plays in the Midlands Collegiate Conference (www.mcac-naia.org) which is comprised of nine teams from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. Conference play starts in January after a three week break at Xmas. League games are typically on Friday and Saturday evenings and are piggybacked with the women's. In 2005-06, Bellevue was ranked #5 in defense among NAIA II programs, limiting opponents to 63.6 ppg. In 2006-07, they were ranked #2 at 58.8.
