BYU-Hawaii plays in the Pacific West Conference (www.gopacwest.org). In July, 2005, the Pacific West Conference voted to admit Notre Dame de Namur University as a provisional member, as it transitions from the NAIA to the NCAA Division II. Grand Canyon University, formerly an NCAA DII Independent, will also be joining the conference, returning the Pacific West Conference to full conference status with six members. Currently, the team plays a 12 game league schedule, playing each team three times. Currently, there is no end-of-season conference tournament. Thus, the conference champion gets and automatic bid to the NCAA tourney.
